Nintendo Switch gamers are finally getting one of the most highly anticipated titles of the year. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is launching in just a few days - curious when exactly it will go live worldwide? We have you covered.

The long-awaited sequel to the best-selling Breath of the Wild is set to arrive on the handheld console on May 12. Players are already excited to jump back in and explore Hyrule at the soonest possible time.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be accessible to players at midnight on May 12 on the East Coast. However, depending on your location, you may get access to the open-world action-adventure game a little earlier. In the US, players on the west coast can access the game on Thursday, May 11, at 9 p.m. Pacific.

Nintendo has yet to confirm the global release date for Tears of the Kingdom. However, players can expect that the game will be available to play on May 12 at midnight local time.

Switch players may need to clear some space on their devices as Tears of the Kingdom comes in at 16GB. It may not seem like much for console and PC players, but it is pretty big for handheld devices. Some of the biggest titles clock in at 16GB and Tears of the Kingdom is no different.

Currently, gamers can only purchase one edition of Tears of the Kingdom. However, various retailers offer their own exclusive bonuses. Players purchasing the game from Best Buy will be getting an art print while GameStop is giving an exclusive wooden plaque. Walmart is handing out a fancy wall scroll while supplies last.

Over on the Switch eShop, Nintendo is currently running a promo that allows players to purchase two eligible digital games for just $100, with a savings of up to $30 depending on the title. Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the eligible titles for the promo.
