COSTCO customers are always looking for a bargain - but not many people know that even the wooden wine cases are up for grabs.
Carrying those wine bottles back to the car can be heavy, but the wooden cases throughout the store are available for free.
Designers love them as they make great-looking storage bins for your home.
Costco is also the largest wine retailer in the United States making up nearly half the store's yearly alcohol sales, according to a report by Delish.
"The most recent number Costco shared was $1.69 billion in 2016 wine sales, which placed it as the country's largest wine seller," Delish reported.
The store's wine markups are also half that of many stores, which have been known to sell bottles up to 50 percent more than the wholesale price.
Costco's markup is around 14 percent, Delish reported.
Knowing some tips will get you the best booze deals.
Non-members are also allowed to shop for alcohol.
Most states have a law that prohibits stores from requiring a membership to buy alcohol.
Residents of Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Texas, and Vermont are in luck, according to the report.
The retailer also stocks its booze selection with its signature Kirkland brand for vodka, scotch, whiskey, bourbon, rum, tequila, and gin.
Kirkland spirits are rumored to have big-name brands behind them including beer brewed by Gordon Biersch, scotch distilled by either Alexander Murray or Macallan Distillery, run produced by Jim Beam, tequila from the same distillery as Cielo tequila, and vodka from the same water source as Grey Goose.
When shopping for alcohol at the big-box store, it's important to look out for an asterisk, which looks like a little star, in the upper right corner of an in-store sign meaning there's an item on clearance.
They also might indicate the last time Costco will restock that product.
Shoppers who find themselves unhappy with an alcohol purchase should keep in mind that Costco has a strict no-return policy when it comes to booze whether the bottles are opened or sealed.
